Thomas Ussary Memorial Scholarship
Thomas Ussary was a student of Eagle Point High School and a member of the Graduating Class of 2002. Though he did well in all of his classes, his love and passion was auto mechanics. As a student of EPHS, Thomas was an advocate for other classmates who also displayed an interest in the auto program. Thomas completed every class offered in the Auto program during his high school years. He also served as the teacher’s aide during his junior and senior years for Mr. Boren, Auto Mechanics teacher. Thomas was often involved with helping his fellow students with their Auto Mechanics projects and also went out of his way to help the younger students. Vehicles were his passion…if it had wheels and an engine…it was an immediate project…to be studied, worked on and improved! Thomas raced lawn mowers and worked summers at the Family Fun Center keeping the Go Carts and boats in good running condition.
