Mel Morris Scholarship

To Study: Any approved program of study.

To Attend: Any accredited vocational school, community college, four-year college or university. The school must have federal Title IV designation.

Open To: All applicants must be current-year graduating Eagle Point High School seniors and active EPHS FFA members for the past two year.  Mel and Diane Morris have stipulated that “the applicants must be graduating from Eagle Point High School, and NOT the Options, GED, Teen Parent, Charter School, home school or any other similar program.”  They both are in agreement that “graduating from a traditional high school shows a willingness to complete a task, show up for a job, ability to get along with others and offers a better chance to succeed in life.”

Selection Based Upon: A list of outstanding senior finalists, selected by the Agriculture Science/Technology staff will be given to the Eagle Point High School Scholarship Committee. The recipients of the scholarship MUST be from this list.   

Merit, classroom and related performance, grade point average, and involvement in other school and community activities. Financial need may be used as selection criteria.

Applicants must complete the EPHS Local Scholarship application available from the Eagle Center, or online, and submit it prior to the deadline to be considered for the award.
